Lake Erie: November 01, 2010

Port Stanley: East side – 10:15 AM. We had real frost last night and this morning everything is very quiet. The eagle is resting in the sun and I saw a small flock of Swans. If you look carefully on your travels, you can see a duck or two on small ponds, hawks and the little birds, like the tiny kinglet in my rose bushes yesterday, and the waxwings at Port Glasgow on Friday, foraging intently, storing up energy for the dash across the Lake to their winter homes.
