Lake Erie: February 26, 2010
Port Stanley: East side – 11:00 AM. Charcoal and teal: Beautiful, but you just know trouble's coming.
Port Stanley: East side – 11:00 AM. Just a splash of sunlight trying to leak through - but it never made it.
Port Stanley: East side at lake level - 4:15 PM. It stayed quiet all day and was just beginning to mist with rain. By night time it was snowing - soft and fine at first but heavier as time passed. Even so, here on the South Coast - it is nowhere near the snow that others got.

Lake Erie: February 25, 2010
Port Stanley: East side – 10:15 AM. A mean, cold breeze, gearing up for a session of snow.
Port Stanley: East side – 10:15 AM. There will be no end to the patterns as long as there is ice.
Port Stanley: East side at lake level - 4:30 PM. A day of wind has pitched the ice with its patterns onto the shore, clearing the way for the next calm, cold day.

Good Grief! I got the photos ready yesterday but didn't actually post them -

Port Stanley: Harbour – 11:15 AM. Birds of some sort clustered on and around a small sheet of ice in the forground. It's the time of year to start carrying binoculars again.

Lake Erie: February 22, 2010
The Difference a Half a Day Makes!
Port Stanley: Harbour – 4:00 PM - February 21. The harbour in lovely early evening light, after a calm, sunny day.
Port Stanley: Harbour – 10:15 AM. Taken from the same spot as the photo above but the very next morning.
Port Stanley: East side – 10:15 AM. It had been snowing for a while and continued throughout the day - I'm glad I had a day of working at home and didn't even have to start the car. I'll have to go a bit early tomorrow to get it dug out, however.
