Lake Erie: August 14, 2010

Port Stanley: East side – 11:00 AM. It was another restless day on the Lake. Overcast skies and a breeze kept the temperature slightly cooler but the air is heavy and still tonight. I'd sleep outside on the back deck if there weren't so many mosquitoes and raccoons.

Port Stanley: East side – 11:15 AM.

Port Stanley: East side – 11:15 AM. Along the shore, the water was a satiny, liquid pewter.

Lake Erie: August 10, 2010

Port Stanley: Harbour – 10:00 AM. After a night of steady, sometimes heavy rain, the day is calm and already warm and the air heavy.

Port Stanley: East side – 10:15 AM. Humans are supposed to breathe this?

Port Stanley: East side – 8:15 PM. It's cooling down a bit but everything's still and very muggy. It's going to be an uncomfortable night.

Lake Erie: August 09, 2010

Port Stanley: Harbour – 4:45 PM. It was another muggy day but the fact that it was overcast and breezy helped to keep things bearable. We had sprinkles of rain off and on and one or two very light showers. Of course it rained like mad in St. Thomas while I was there running an errand.

Lake Erie: August 08, 2010

Port Stanley: East side – 10:30 AM. It was a warm, restless day. The Lake never stopped rolling. Cleo spent the day either laying sound asleep under the ceiling fan or charging to the window to sniff deeply and bark whole-heartedly at some new, mysterious scent the swirling wind tossed up.

Port Stanley: Harbour – 10:45 AM. Good to be in from a restless Lake.

Port Stanley: East Side – 5:30 PM. Rain threatened all around most of the day but we only got the briefest of showers.
