Lake Erie: October 04, 2010

South End of Iona Road: 4:15 PM.

OK – Not The Lake!
(A whole bunch of not the Lake).

Port Stanley: 6:30 PM. One of the many roses still blooming in my front yard. This one is an antique variety and the scent is everything you imagine when you think of roses.

Just North of Lake Erie: 2:15 PM. I spent the afternoon with Walter Redinger, who has been working as a sculptor, painter and writer his whole life.
For information on his extensive and illustrious international career, visit: http://www.walterredinger.com/
Set in the woods and the grounds around his studio are a number of sculptures that live in the natural landscape. A year or so ago, an accidental grass fire singed a number of the pieces and today he and I were exploring how the works and the woods are merging together after the fire; how the pieces are becoming the woods. I took many, many photographs and we'll see what sort of collaborative work comes of it over the next few months.
