Lake Erie: June 08, 2010

Port Stanley: Harbour – 8:45 AM.

Pearce Park: 2:45 PM. One of the highest points along the South Coast, John E. Pearce Provincial Park is a lovely gem of beauty and peace.

Pearce Park: 2:45 PM. Monument honouring Elgin County's early pioneers.

Backus Page House: 2:30 PM.  Under the guidance of the Tyrconnell Heritage Society and located on the edge of Pearce Park, this lovely old house is open to visitors for an eye-opening tour of life in a grand home of Elgin County in the mid 1800s. The grounds, located adjacent to the nature trails of Spicer wooods, are a delight on their own. This area, which also includes a heritage church and the cemetary where Col. Talbot is buried, is found at the very south end of Currie Road, Dutton-Dunwich and is a perfect place to spend a summer's day.
