Lake Erie: January 7, 2010

Port Stanley: East side at lake level - 10:45 AM. It's a very calm day and the water is forming a thin skin of ice. When the breeze picks up, this will be pitched onto the shore and start forming mounds of ice and debris.

Port Stanley: East side at lake level - 10:45 AM. Lake Erie is patient and persistent. Day by day, minute by minute she continues the work of change.

Port Stanley Lighthouse and Outer Harbour: - 2:10 PM. More snow coming. It’s been milder today and the deep, fluffy snow is softening. When the temperature drops down later tonight, it will freeze up and be covered over with new snow. Better get the shoveling done now.

  1. These have a nice blue tinge! The lake looks so calm and I know it's just lurking!
